1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of StartIUP (startiup.com). By using the site, the Idea Computer or the Buy an idea catalogue, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

StartIUP has two parts.

• Make an idea. You type an idea name (1 to 60 characters) and a short description (10 to 500 characters). Our build pipeline then produces a hosted demo, app source files, UX and brand files, a technical build spec and a next-step prompt. A build takes about two hours. That time is an estimate, not a promise.
• Buy an idea. A catalogue of finished apps, each sold with its premium domain as a one-off purchase.

StartIUP does not host production apps, run payments for your app or hold your customers.

3. Accounts

You need an account to start a build or buy an idea. You must give a real email address and keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may block an account that breaks these terms. A block stops new builds and never changes money records already written.

4. Credits and payments

• 1 credit = $1. A build costs 69 credits. Premium hosting costs 10 credits.
• Packs: Starter (69 credits for $69), Builder (200 credits for $180) and Studio (500 credits for $425).
• Credits are bought up front, do not expire, and are not a subscription. Nothing renews.
• Card payments use a hosted checkout. We never see or store your card details. Receipts are sent by email.
• Credits have no cash value and are not transferable.

5. Builds and refunds

Credits are reserved when a build starts, spent only when it finishes, and returned automatically if it fails. A build is finished when every stage passes its checks and the demo comes up. A build fails if a stage does not finish, if the demo does not come up, or if our systems fail. When a build fails, we return the 69 credits and email you.

A build that finishes with small faults, such as a missing logo or a function that does not work, is a normal prototype result and is not a failure. Idea screening is described in section 9. A build blocked there also returns your credits.

Retrying a failed build starts a fresh build with a fresh reservation.

6. Your output

You own your output from day one. That includes the app source files, the UX and brand files, the build spec and the next-step prompt. You can download them and use them anywhere. The pipeline also writes private working notes for its own use. These are not part of your output and are never shown, sold or offered for download.

You are responsible for how you use your output, including checking it before you rely on it or publish it.

7. Demo hosting

Each build gets a hosted demo, free for 7 days, with the footer credit "Designed and built by startiup.com". Premium hosting costs 10 credits and gives 365 days with the footer credit removed. We send reminders 2 days before expiry and on the day. After expiry the address shows "this demo has ended". Your files stay downloadable from the build page. The demo is for showing and testing. It is not a production service.

8. Buy an idea

• You pay the listed price in full by card, as a one-off payment.
• A listing is locked while someone is checking out. The first completed payment wins. If a listing has sold, you are told before you are charged.
• After payment you can download the app files straight away. Domains are held at Cloudflare. You request the domain transfer from your purchase page, and our team issues the transfer code. We aim to do this within 24 hours. That is a target, not a promise.
• We record each step of the handover in a proof record that cannot be edited or deleted. If we issue a wrong code, we log a correction and email you the new code.
• Purchases are final once the transfer code is issued. What you do with the code is up to you.
• The demo on that domain goes offline after the code is issued.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use StartIUP to build malware or hacking tools, phishing or fraud, scams or deceptive practices, harassment of individuals, sexual content involving minors, weapons or explosives, or clearly illegal services. Ideas are screened automatically before a build begins. Some are held for review by our team. We may block an idea and return the credits. See acceptable use.

10. Prototypes and no warranty

A StartIUP build is a prototype. Small faults are normal. It is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, including that it is complete, error free, secure, original or fit for any purpose. Timings, file counts and delivery targets are estimates. Please test and review before you rely on any output.

11. AI disclosure

Builds are generated by AI. Free demos show the footer credit as a standing attribution. This statement applies to free and premium builds alike.

12. Liability

To the extent the law allows, StartIUP is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss arising from your use of any prototype or output. Our total liability for any claim relating to a build is limited to the amount you paid for that build. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Our property

The StartIUP name, the start/i/up logo, the site design and the pipeline are ours. These terms do not give you rights to them, except to use the service. They do not affect your ownership of your output.

14. Ending access

You can stop using StartIUP at any time. Unused credits stay in your account. We may suspend or block access if you break these terms or the acceptable use policy. Money and proof records are append-only and are kept as records.

15. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes apply to builds and purchases started after that date.
